Calpe is the perfect venue for a peaceful break or an action packed adventure holiday. The area is fantastic for walking, cycling, rock climbing, scuba diving and a wide range of other water sports.

The one bedroom apartment with private pool for up to four people is self-contained on the ground floor of our own villa which is in a quiet cul-de-sac just 1km from the world renowned ‘Blue Flag’ La Fossa Beach in Calpe.

Set among mountains beside the sea, the town of Calpe, with its seafaring roots, its history and its exceptional climate, is attractive for its contrasts. The hospitality of its people, the natural environment, its beaches and a wide range of services and transport links make it the ideal place to spend your holidays.
BEACHES AND COVES
Calpe has 13 kilometres of coastline with beaches and coves, ideal for bathing and the practice of various beach and water sports.
El Collao and Gasparet Coves: each 100m long and only accessible by sea.
Les Urques Cove and Puerto Blanco Beach: 200m long, situated in the development of the same name.
Arena-Bol Beach: 2000m long, awarded a Blue Flag. Situated in the town centre.
Cantal Roig Beach: 200m long, awarded a Blue Flag. Situated next to the fishing harbour.
El Racó Cove: 150m long, situated at the foot of the Peñón de Ifach.
Del Penyal Cove: 100m long, situated on the northern slope of the Peñón de Ifach, accessible along a small path.
Levante or La Fossa Beach: approximately 2000m long, awarded a Blue Flag. Situated in the north of the Peñón de Ifach.
Calalga Cove: 100m long it is situated right after the Levante Beach.
Del Mallorquí Cove: 100m long, it is situated near the Les Bassetes marina.
Les Bassetes Cove: 100m long, situated in the marina of the same name.

THE PEÑÓN DE IFACH
Calcareous rock which is 332m high. It has become a symbol of the Costa Blanca and was declared a Nature Reserve in 1987 because of its rich wildlife including some indigenous species. You can climb to the top via a footpath which starts from the Nature Hall, a building which houses the information centre.

THE SALT FLATS
The salt lake and its reed beds are situated about 500m from the Peñón de Ifach and constitute a unique nature spot which gives home to a wide variety of flamingoes and other migrating birds at various times of the year. Originally this lake area was an active salt works.

GASTRONOMY
Calpe has an extensive offer of restaurants ranging from those specialising in international cuisine to those offering typical dishes of the area, principally based on fish and rice. “Llauna de Calp” and “Arrós de Senyoret” are the best known but there are many more such as “Putxero de Polp” and of course “Paella”. Enjoy too the local “cocas” and home-made cakes and pastries along with the “Peñón de Ifach” a wine of intense ruby with purple sparkles that is a homage to this region.

Accommodation
APARTMENT
The apartment sleeps up to four people so is ideal for small family groups. It is situated at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac with very safe parking, yet is only about 1km from one of the best beaches in the region. Calpe Old Town is also less than 2km away.
Our guests benefit from full use of our private swimming pool and its terraces. These contain a range of seating and sun beds as well as a barbeque.
The spacious apartment which is air conditioned has its own private entrance and is totally self contained.
The bedroom comprises a super king-size (6ft) twin / double bed with bed side radio cabinets a wardrobe and a safe. The large bathroom contains a toilet, shower and vanity unit as well as a washing machine. Within the main living space there is satellite T.V. and video. Furnishings include two single bed/settees. There is a kitchenette with fridge, hob, kettle and toaster, coffee machine and a dining area for four people.
The beaches and main commercial areas are only five minutes away by car or taxi and include an extensive range of shops bars and restaurants to suit all tastes. In addition to our original small supermarket Summer 2006 saw the opening of two brand new hypermarkets ‘Mercadonna’ and ‘Consum’ in our local area.
